ABOUT US

Francine Lay is an award winning local chef originally from the Philippines.

Chef Francine grew up in the kitchen watching her mom prepare three meals a day for her seven other siblings and extended family. This love of cooking, which evolved throughout her time as a mother, culminated into the ownership of a successful catering business in Los Angeles, California. After moving to Eugene, she opened up her first food cart in 2013, which has since grown to three locations in the Eugene/Springfield area.

Tanner Austin is a young chef with almost a decade of experience.

Chef Tanner has spent his entire life trying new food and expanding his palette. His love of cooking and eating began as a child while watching his mom prepare a diverse array of food for him. This passion is continued through his work as one of the chefs at their family’s restaurant and through his love of travel and global cuisine.

OUR STORY

“Mama Tanner” was the name given to my mom by my best friends growing up. Everybody on our street always looked forward to coming over and eating my mom’s home cooking. There was always an extra seat and plate at our table, and always more than enough food to go around. My fondest memories revolve around the dinner table, laughing, growing closer, and eating delicious food. We hope to extend this tradition through our catering and to bring our love of home cooked meals to your table! – Tanner
